In January 2017, we realized that if we wanted to have people share openly with one another and actually be heard, then we needed everyone to agree on how to interact with one another, on how to speak and listen. This meant talking about what it meant to be at the table together so that all people, even people who have “bad days”, are supported and heard. This was especially important because people most impacted by systems are often not heard in the decisions that shape the system. We wanted to change that. Below is the most recent version of our shared agreements.
